Kamoe NTC Copperworks

The Copperworks in Walsall were visited by some of Voms friends from Cardiff Saturday, we went down to get some NTC shots but the heavens opened just as we were waiting for it to get dark, we managed to get a couple before we got a nasty shock from the flashes.  Graff by Ziner and Kamoe….

Tempo 33 Jam.

5 Years ago Tempo 33 was born…you’ve seen him popping up all around Birmingham over the past five years.  There was a good showing from some of the Midlands best Graffiti artists including Zuki, Corsa, Meek, Chu, Newso, Ziner, Fuels and Fluid to name a few despite the bitter cold.  We we’re there throughout the day but returned midweek to put our own special mark on the event with some Heavy Light NTC.

Dossin in Digbeth

We went to meet our old muccas Chu and Fluid in Birmingham last Saturday to get some paint from the bench and to discuss what was going on for Tempo’s birthday jam the day after. Chu and Fluid were fashionably late so we went for a wander around Digbeth and saw this wall that had been recently painted by Newso, Lewes,Fluid and Skank.

400mlHeroes

So who are these 400mlHeroes?

;

Firstly there are two of us; we’ve been involved in graff since it all started in the UK. We are founder members of TWC (The Wild Criminalz) and RGT (Rogue Troopers) we’ve been actively involved in the scene on and off for 27 years. Basically we know our stuff, we call ourselves 400mlheroes but the real heroes are the guys and gals picking up the cans and giving us something to photograph.

;

What’s the difference between 400mlHeroes and all the other graff sites out there?

;

One thing that sets us apart from most graffiti sites is the quality of our photography and the fact that it’s all our own material. And with these pictures come the best interviews giving you a insight into the graffiti world. We’re creating our own unique style of photography, something that people will look at and say, “That’s done by 400mlHeroes”. We’re pushing our boundaries experimenting with different styles creating our own unique look. We’re going the extra mile to get these “Photograffs”, when we go out at night setting up shots it feels clandestine it gives us a similar feel to going out bombing. We’re setting up the shots then instead of taking a can of paint to a wall we’re painting with light. We’ve got some big ideas and we want to share them with you. In these pictures we’ve been experimenting with painting with light and exposures. Have a look and please feel free to comment on them, give us your feedback, let us know what you think.

Bomb da Base

We received intelligence from a close friend of 400ml that there was an disused cold war army base once used to make cruise missiles containing depleted uranium, we thought Diva, Vomet and Shady looked a bit green around the gills last time we saw them…..now we know why!

Shok and Awe

Where the new Walsall college stands once stood another remnant of Walsall’s industrial past.  Left to ruin it was only a matter of time before the building was used for a different purpose.  In 2001 Walsall was graced with the presence of two of Europe’s finest artists.  Seakone and Shok1, Shok was local to Walsall at the time and Seak had come to visit.  Shok and Seaks abstract and organic styles bought the place back to life one more time.

It’s never ending and ever changing and we’re sure that we could quite easily keep a blog full of what goes on and up in Digbeth if we wanted. So heres another post about the area its not our first and it definitely wont be our last.

If your interested in seeing more theres an excellent Birmingham blogger who does a lot of work around Digbeth, check out Gutter Floozy and Digbeth is good
